Krysta applying firm pressure to a client's lower back during a deep tissue massage in New Port Richey

Chronic Tension Relief

Chronic Tension Relief is Krysta's deep tissue session. It's for tension that has lived in the same muscles for months, not a one-off sore day. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes and start at $135, and every one includes aromatherapy, stretching, and hot towels.

If you're dealing with chronic pain and want real relief without medication, massage therapy can help. Krysta uses targeted techniques to address tension, inflammation, and stress. Whether you're recovering from surgery or just need to reset, every session is personalized to what your body needs.

What happens in a session

You tell Krysta where the tension sits and how long it's been there. She warms the area with hot towels and aromatherapy before the pressure gets deep.
Most of the hour goes to the spots that need it, usually neck and shoulders, low back, or hips, with slow, sustained pressure and stretching. She checks in on pressure as she goes. Deep means firm and specific, not painful.

Who it's for

People with desk or driving tension, repetitive-use tightness, or a body that never fully lets go. Many clients say they feel looser and sleep better afterward.
If you want a full-body relaxation session, Therapeutic Massage is the better pick. If you're inside your surgeon's recovery window, look at Lymphatic Drainage Massage instead. Mild soreness the next day is common after deep work.

Before and after

Arrive a few minutes early on your first visit for a short intake. Drink water beforehand and skip a big meal in the hour before. Skip hard training that evening. Water and heat help next-day soreness.

Things to tell Krysta

Recent surgery, blood thinners, an acute injury, open skin. She may lighten the pressure or suggest a gentler session.

Questions people ask

How deep is deep tissue?

Firm, slow, specific pressure into the deeper muscle layers. It can feel intense, but you should never have to brace against it. Krysta adjusts the moment you ask.

Will I be sore afterward?

Some people feel mildly sore for a day, like after a good workout. Water, gentle movement, and heat usually help. If it lasts longer, tell Krysta before your next visit.

Should I book 60 or 90 minutes?

60 minutes is enough to work one region well. If your tension is in several places, 90 minutes gives each one the time it needs.

Is this the same as Therapeutic Massage?

No. Therapeutic Massage is a full-body session with moderate to deep pressure and one focus area. Chronic Tension Relief is deep tissue work that spends most of the session on the tight spots.
