Light, rhythmic lymphatic drainage strokes on the face and neck at Intuitive Wellness with Krysta

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage is a light, rhythmic massage that follows the direction your lymph already moves, to help your body clear fluid on its own. Sessions are 30 minutes (upper or lower body), 60, or 90 minutes and start at $65. Many clients book it during post-surgery recovery once their surgeon says it's OK, before an event, or when they feel puffy and sluggish.

30–90 min · from $65

A gentle, 30, 60, or 90 minute session using rhythmic circular movements to support lymphatic flow and help you feel lighter. Many clients book it during post-surgery recovery (with their surgeon's OK) or when they feel puffy. Want to take it further? Add 20 minutes of near-infrared light.

What happens in a session

The pressure is very light, lighter than most people expect. Krysta uses slow circular and pumping strokes, starting at the neck and collarbone and working outward. There's no deep kneading.
The 30-minute session covers the upper body (face, neck, arms, torso) or the lower body (belly, hips, legs). 60 and 90 minutes cover the whole body with extra time where you swell most.

Who it's for

People recovering from cosmetic or orthopedic surgery, once their surgeon has cleared manual lymphatic work. People who feel puffy or heavy after travel or a sedentary stretch. People de-puffing before an event. It pairs with NeoLifting for the face.

Before and after

Drink plenty of water before and after. Wear your compression garment if your surgeon told you to. Expect to use the bathroom more afterward. Bring your surgeon's clearance if you're post-op.

Things to tell Krysta

Fever or infection, a history of blood clots, heart or kidney conditions, cancer treatment, incisions that haven't closed. Talk to your provider first.

Questions people ask

How soon after surgery can I book?

That depends on the procedure and your surgeon. Book once your surgeon has cleared you for manual lymphatic drainage, and bring their instructions to your first session.

Why is the pressure so light?

Lymph vessels sit just under the skin. Gently stretching the skin moves fluid better than deep pressure does. If you want deep muscle work, book Therapeutic Massage or Chronic Tension Relief on another day.

What does the 30-minute session cover?

Half the body. Upper is face, neck, arms, and chest. Lower is belly, hips, and legs. Pick 60 or 90 minutes for the whole body.

Is lymphatic drainage a detox?

It helps your body move fluid the way it already does. It doesn't remove toxins in a medical sense. Most clients just feel lighter and less puffy afterward.
